My brother and I have gotten into the habit of playing Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 on a nightly basis. Last night he finally got to see both the Fantastic Four costumes for Ghost Rider and She-Hulk. He was promptly baffled at this. I then proceeded to tell him that pretty much at one point or another most every Marvel hero has either been in the Avenger’s or the Fantastic Four. Of course, he brought up the poster boy for Marvel, Spider-Man. I then blew his mind when I told him Spider-Man was not only on the Avenger’s, but he is also a member of the Fantastic Four at this very moment. He called bullshit and believed I was bluffing until I went downstairs and then provided at least four comics showing Spider-Man on both the Avenger’s and the Fantastic Four. Needless to say, it pisses me off when people act like they know these characters because of the films and the television shows, but they don’t read the comics.
SIDE NOTE: This also occurred at the end of the Green Lantern movie in the theater when people were shocked when Sinestro put on the Yellow Power Ring. First things first people: His name is Sinestro. The first three letters of his name are S-I-N. Did you seriously think that he would be a good guy? Plus, the amount of images of Sinestro in the Green Lantern ‘uniform’ pales in comparison to quantity of images of him in Yellow. Plus, the name of the Corps isn’t ‘The Yellow Lantern’ Corps. It is the Sinestro Corps. His name is in the damn title of the entire army.
