30 Days of Film (24): Favorite Children's Film
The story focuses on a group dinosaur children who are split up from their parents following a natural disaster. The kids knew where their parents were going though, The Great Valley, so they begin their quest to get there. At the beginning of the film issues of racial equality pop up in the form of "three horns don't play with long necks!" but eventually the group of dinosaurs realize that the only way they are going to make it to the Great Valley is if they put aside their issues and work together.
While as a kid I really enjoyed the aspect of watching dinosaurs, as an adult I can appreciate the social commentaries that lie within. This is definitely a film I will be showing my children.
