This game makes me happy for so many reasons. First of all, this game holds something very dear to me: the cause of my first all nighter with friends. The game focus is on collecting more ChuChu's (Mice) than your opponents by directing them into your rocket. The problem? The slower KapuKapu's (Cats) eat the ChuChu's and when they land in your rocket, they eat a fair amount of your stock pile.
Now put about 200 ChuChus on screen at once. Yeah, that is where it gets fun. You control the ChuChus and the KapuKapus by placing directional tiles on a grid board that influence their movement, as they only move in the direction they are facing. Each player can only have four tiles on the board at any given time though, so splitting your attention between sabotaging your fellow players or protecting your own rocket adds to the fun. Throw in unique ChuChus that provide random power ups, like changing the position of your rocket or dropping KapuKapus into everyones rocket, and you have chaotic multiplayer at best.
I still find me hooking up my Dreamcast to this day just to play this game with friends. I keep bugging SEGA via twitter to put out a HD version on XBLA and PSN, but to no avail. Maybe one day.
